Not every percentage measures the same outcome
A clinical pregnancy rate is not a live birth rate. Outcomes per transfer are also different from outcomes per started cycle. Before comparing clinics, ask which outcome is measured, which patients are included and which reporting period the data covers.
Factors in an individual assessment
Age when eggs are obtained, own or donor eggs, diagnosis and previous treatment history are factors the medical team reviews. A clinic’s overall percentage does not describe your personal chances on its own.
Which data to request
Request outcomes by age group and treatment, the number of cases, the reporting period and the source. Ask whether cancelled cycles are included and whether figures are per transfer, per started cycle or cumulative across several transfers. Do not combine figures calculated in different ways.
What to expect from a FertilyMed consultation
Bring your test results and medical history to discuss options with the team. This article does not publish a validated numerical FertilyMed success rate or promise an outcome. Ask for current data and an explanation of its limitations before deciding.
